Key Product Details

• Color / Finish: Translucent / Anodized Smoke (Dark Tint / Black Chrome Look). It delivers a sleek, tinted dark shade over shiny surfaces, often used to create a “black chrome” or smoked metallic effect.

• Can Size: 11 oz aerosol.

• Heat Resistance: Resists intermittent heat up to 500°F (260°C), making it ideal for engine dress-up, valve covers, brake calipers, and custom trim.

• Chemical Resistance: Formulated to withstand gas, oil, and common automotive fluids.

• Drying Time: Dries to the touch in 20 minutes; fully cures and ready to handle in 1 hour.

Application Guidelines

1. Surface Requirements:

   • On Bare Metal, Steel, or Non-Shiny Surfaces: Must be primed with Dupli-Color Metalcast Ground Coat (MC100) first to create the reflective metallic base layer.

   • On Chrome or Polished Metal: Spray directly onto clean, bare chrome or polished metal for a custom smoked/black-chrome finish.

2. Coating Technique:

   • Clean surface thoroughly of all grease, wax, and grime.

   • Apply 2 light coats followed by 1 medium coat, waiting 10 minutes between coats.

   • The shade darkens significantly with each additional coat—apply fewer coats for a subtle tint or more coats for a deep, dark smoked finish.
