Long-term protection products against corrosion and stone chipping with a synthetic resin/plastic basis. After drying, the materials are resistant to carbon hydride-based cold cleaning agents, surfactant-based acid and alkaline high pressure cleaners, salt water and road salt.

So
I’ve spent the last couple of months stripping down, sanding back, treating and re-painting pretty much every panel on the front half of my Mk2 Golf. This included engine removed to allow work to chassis rails and bulkhead.
I decided on a matt effect finish for the engine bay and opted for the stonechip to give that little extra protection. Bought two cans of Dinitrol’s Stonechip spray cans and set to work.
Have to say I hadn’t expected such a great finish. Without much effort the spray coated evenly and equally- even in awkward areas there was little running and the spray itself clings on brilliantly. The overall finish looks well in excess of a home garage rattle-can job. One word of advice- this stuff is quite potent so absolutely make sure you have good ventilation when working with it.
