The FROST Extreme Chassis Black Paint is a high-performance coating formulated to protect Automotive Frames, Suspension Parts, and Undercarriage Components. Unlike standard spray paints, this specialised coating is engineered with Superior Adhesion, Oil Resistant and Rust Prevention. It provides a tough, durable barrier against environmental elements like Road Salt, Moisture, Dirt, and Debris.
Many Restoration Professionals prefer this paint because it offers a superb smooth gloss black finish that enhances the overall look of the chassis while providing industrial-strength protection.
Coverage for 1 litre is approximately 12 Square Metres. Apply to a clean dry surface with FROST Primer if applying to new or bare metal. It can be brushed on or sprayed. If you require it to be thinned, we would recommend FROST Xylene Thinners up to 10%.

It is suitable for the full range of commercial vehicle chassis including buses, trucks and trailers.
It has a positive drying gives tack free time of 3 hours with the finish consisting of being a gloss finish that has excellent opacity.

Excellent the best chassis black paint I have used easy to get a good gloss even with a paint brush and the paint doesnt run easily… I use it on everything from Mini Subframes the Motorbike Frames looks great.

This chassis paint is very good both when brushed and sprayed, giving good coverage and finish.
**CAUTION: this paint reacts (bubbles up) when used with the Frost own brand grey primer and satin black aerosols, as I found to my cost.**

I was impressed with this paint, it was easy to use, did not leave any brushmarks in when applied, dried hard and is tough.
Even though it is inexpensive, it is very good, it is not thin and all carier, it has strong pigment and body to it, I painted a number of parts with it including a propshaft, pedal box parts and pedals and they look better than when they left the factory.
Also because it has good body to it, it does not require say 4 coats, I applied it over metal ready cured surface and zinc phosphate primer. One coat looked diamond hard. Two coats should be more than adequate, great product, highly recommend it.

Fantastic paint really, flows out real nice but won’t run too easily. Dries deep black, rock hard and good gloss retention. Only one caution though it seems to have a fair bit of spirits in as it made my generic celly based primer lift so thin coat first !
