Dupli-Color® Metalcast® Anodized Coating color is a translucent-colored coating formulated to create a unique, anodized effect when applied over properly prepared chrome or bright-metal surfaces in one step. Metalcast® Anodized Coating is heat resistant intermittently up to 500°F, resists automotive chemicals and can be used for a variety of interior and exterior applications.

Application Tips for Best Results

Bare Metal or Non-Chrome Surfaces: If you are spraying on non-shiny surfaces, standard bare metal, or painted surfaces, you must use the Dupli-Color Metalcast Ground Coat (MC100) first. The ground coat creates the necessary reflective silver base needed to achieve the metallic anodized look.

Chrome or Polished Metal: Can be sprayed directly over clean, bare chrome or high-polish metals.

Clean the surface thoroughly to remove grease, wax, and oils.

Apply 2 light coats followed by 1 medium wet coat, waiting about 10 minutes between coats.

Built-up darkness depends on how many coats you apply—more coats result in a deeper, richer gold tone.
