Chrome deposits often begin to flake with age revealing the metal underneath, which is usually nickel if on a ferrous base metal. This nickel layer is often in good condition and can be polished to a very high level. This starter kit will quickly remove all of the usually thin chrome layer to leave just the underlying metal ready for the next stage of treatment.
2 Litre Chrome Stripper Starter Kit. Contains all you need to safely remove electroplated chrome deposits from Iron, Steel, Nickel, Brass and Copper items. (Not suitable for aluminium).
The kit uses just chemical action to dissolve the chrome layer within a few minutes, depending on the thickness of the chrome deposit.

Chrome Stripper Starter Kit removes chrome from iron, steel, brass and cooper. Not suitable for aluminium
When using this product please be aware that the solution will work quickly and bubbles will start to form almost immediately and the liquid will turn from being clear to green, if this does not happen then your item is probably not chrome or has been treated with a top coat of something that will need to be removed first. Chromed items have usually got a nickel base which when the chrome has been stripped leaves the nickel exposed and this is usually is a shiny surface which can be mistaken for a chrome surface and therefore looks like the chrome has not been removed. Please see a sample of a stripped chromed part using the Chrome Strip solution showing its effectiveness.
