Step-by-Step Guide: How to Use the POR-15 Super Starter Kit

To get the best results, it’s essential to follow the application process correctly. Here’s a simplified breakdown:

1. Clean the Surface

Begin with the Cleaner Degreaser to remove oils, dirt, and contaminants. A clean surface ensures maximum adhesion of the coating.

2. Apply Metal Prep

Spray or brush on Metal Prep to etch the surface and promote adhesion. This step also adds a zinc phosphate coating, which enhances rust resistance.

3. Apply POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating

Use the provided brush to apply the Rust Preventive Coating. It self-levels as it dries, creating a smooth, glossy, and ultra-tough finish. For maximum durability, apply two coats.

4. Cure and Topcoat (Optional)

Once cured, you can leave it as is or apply a topcoat for UV protection, especially for surfaces exposed to direct sunlight.
