For months I have dithered about buying this kit, yesterday it was delivered. Today following the instructions I blackend two steel pocket watch cases. These two cases over 70 years old had been polished back to a bright mirror finish, having lost most of there original black finish. After the treatment and a drying period they have a stunning satin black finish. the gilt finish on the Bezel and hinges plus the nail catch on the back cover have been unaffected and any black on them has just wiped off..
As you may tell I am very pleased with the product, Three more watches from my collection to do, then I shall put it away sound in the knowledge that it is there when needed.

I have been looking for a quick and easy way to remove rust from various nuts and bolts before I use the metal blacking kit. Decided to use the frost rust remover and was extremely surprised at how well they came out. Left them in overnight and that seemed to have cleaned them up really nice. Then just went through the three stages of the metal blacking kit and they came out looking beautiful in a satin black finish. Thank you frost!
