Harden Tools Warranty Policy

Harden Tools Warranty Policy – Frost Auto Restoration (UK)

At Frost Auto Restoration, we stand behind the quality and durability of Harden tools and equipment. This policy explains the warranty coverage we provide for Harden hand tools, selected precision and ratcheting tools, and Harden cordless power tools purchased from us in the UK.

By buying from Frost, you benefit from UK‑based support and a clear, straightforward warranty process.

1. Lifetime Warranty – Harden Hand Tools

Covered products
Harden hand tools such as spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers and similar non‑powered hand tools.

Warranty coverage
Harden hand tools sold by Frost are guaranteed for the lifetime of the tool against defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser. If a covered hand tool fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will, at our discretion:

·       Repair the tool, or

·       Replace it with the same or an equivalent product, or

·       Issue a refund if a repair or replacement is not possible.

What is not covered

·       Normal wear and tear (for example, worn jaws, tips, grips or finishes from regular use).

·       Misuse, abuse or neglect (including use with cheater bars, using tools as levers/pry bars when not designed for that purpose, or impact damage to non‑impact tools).

·       Modification or alteration of the tool.

·       Cosmetic damage that does not affect function.

·       Tools not purchased from Frost or without valid proof of purchase.

2. 5‑Year Guarantee – Selected Harden Tools

Certain Harden products that include mechanisms, precision components or electronics are covered by a 5‑year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser.

Examples of products typically covered

·       Tape measures

·       Torque wrenches

·       Laser and levelling tools

·       Ratcheting tools

·       Similar precision or mechanism‑based products (as indicated on the product page or packaging)

Where the 5‑year guarantee applies and a manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the product, or issue a refund if a repair or replacement is not possible.

What is not covered

·       Normal wear and tear (for example, gradual loss of calibration through heavy use if not periodically checked, worn markings or cosmetic scuffs).

·       Damage from misuse, neglect, incorrect storage or accidental damage (drops, impact, water ingress beyond stated ratings, etc.).

·       Use beyond the product’s specified range, rating or intended purpose.

·       Consumable parts that wear out with normal use (e.g. blades, inserts, drill bits, driver bits, bulbs and similar items).

·       Products not purchased from Frost or without valid proof of purchase.

3. Harden Cordless Power Tools – Registration‑Based Warranty

Harden cordless power tools sold by Frost come with a tiered warranty structure. You receive a basic level of protection automatically, and extended coverage when you register your purchase.

3.1 Standard warranty (without registration)

If the cordless power tool purchase is not registered, the following coverage applies from the date of purchase:

·       Tool: 1‑year warranty

·       Battery: 1‑year warranty

·       Charger: 1‑year warranty

This covers defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser only.

3.2 Extended warranty (with registration)

When you register your Harden cordless power tool with Frost within the specified registration period, you benefit from extended coverage:

·       3‑year tool warranty (applies only when registered)

·       3‑year battery warranty

·       1‑year charger warranty

·       First‑year replacement guarantee – if a covered tool develops a confirmed manufacturing defect within the first 12 months, we will normally replace the tool (and, where applicable, the battery and charger) rather than repair, subject to availability and our assessment.

If a cordless power tool is not registered, only the standard 1‑year warranty applies, and the extended 3‑year benefits and first‑year replacement guarantee will not be available.

3.3 Registration process

To activate the extended warranty on your Harden cordless power tools:

1.       Visit the Frost warranty registration page (details provided on your product insert or invoice).

2.       Provide your contact details, order number or proof of purchase, and product information (model and serial number where applicable).

3.       Submit the registration form and keep your confirmation email or reference number for your records.

If you cannot register online, please contact our customer service team and we will help you register your product.

3.4 What is not covered for cordless power tools

·       Normal wear and tear (including brushes where applicable, switches and other parts that wear over time, and cosmetic wear).

·       Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, incorrect accessories, or using the tool outside its intended purpose.

·       Damage from unauthorised repairs, modifications or disassembly.

·       Use of non‑approved chargers or batteries.

·       Consumable items such as blades, bits, pads, discs and other accessories.

·       Products not purchased from Frost or without valid proof of purchase.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe a Harden tool or piece of equipment has failed due to a manufacturing defect, please contact Frost in the first instance. Do not send products directly to the manufacturer unless we ask you to do so.

4.1 Information we need

To help us process your claim efficiently, please provide:

·       Your proof of purchase from Frost (order number, invoice or receipt).

·       The product details (description, model number, and serial number if applicable).

·       A clear description of the fault, including when it occurred and how the product was being used.

·       Clear photos or a short video showing the product and the issue. In some cases, we may ask you to return the item for inspection.

4.2 Assessment and outcome

Once we receive your information:

1.       We will assess whether the problem is likely due to a manufacturing defect or excluded (for example, normal wear, misuse or accidental damage).

2.       If the issue is covered, we will confirm the next step, which may be:

o   Repair,

o   Replacement with the same or equivalent product, or

o   Refund where repair or replacement is not possible.

3.       If the issue is not covered, we will explain why and, where appropriate, discuss any chargeable repair or replacement options available.

We aim to handle warranty claims promptly and fairly, but timescales may vary depending on stock availability and the nature of the fault.

5. General Conditions and Limitations

·       All Harden warranties described here apply to the original purchaser only and are not transferable.

·       Coverage applies only to products purchased from Frost Auto Restoration in the UK; items bought from other sellers may be covered by their own policies.

·       Our warranty obligations are limited to repair, replacement or refund as described above. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost time, loss of use or loss of business), except where such liability cannot be limited under UK law.

·       This warranty policy is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
