I used this to repair the front seats in my truck. The stitching in the seat backs had come apart, and at some points, there were five layers of foam backed fabric, plus a plastic stiffener to sew through. Rather than use the tan waxed thread, I got a spare bobbin, and loaded it up with Gutermann upholstery thread, which worked great with the fine needle. Definitely a handy tool!
