10 Gallon Sandblast Tank

The Frost 10 Gallon Sandblast Tank includes:

1. Tank (Pressure Vessel) – Holds about 10 gallons of abrasive media (like sand, glass beads, or aluminium oxide).

2. Air Inlet / Regulator – Connects to a compressed air source. Controls the pressure going into the tank.

3. Abrasive Outlet / Hose Connection – Directs the abrasive to the nozzle.

4. Blast Gun / Nozzle – Where the media exits at high velocity to clean or etch surfaces.

5. Moisture Separator (optional but recommended) – Prevents moisture from clogging the abrasive flow.

How it Works

1. Fill the Tank: You pour abrasive media into the tank (up to ~10 gallons).

2. Pressurize the Tank: Connect the tank to a compressed air supply. The tank is pressurized (often 70–100 PSI for small units).

3. Media Flow Control: Opening a valve allows pressurised air to push the abrasive out of the tank into the hose. The Venturi effect helps pull media into the airstream for continuous blasting.

4. Blasting: The media exits the nozzle at high speed, striking the workpiece to clean, etch, or strip paint/rust.

5. Refill & Repeat: Once media runs low, you will need to refill and continue.

Safety Notes

• Always wear respiratory protection:  Gloves, and Eye protection.

• Ensure the tank is rated for your air pressure: Over pressurising can be dangerous.

• Avoid moisture in the media: Clogged nozzles are common with damp abrasive.

This 10-gallon tank is small enough for garage use or a small workshop but still gives enough capacity for moderate projects without constant refilling.
