Duty Cycle

The rated Duty cycle refers to the amount of welding that can be done within an amount of time. The Eastwood TIG 200 Digital has a duty cycle of 25% at 200 Amps. It is easiest to look at your welding time in blocks of 10 Minutes and the Duty Cycle being a percentage of that 10 Minutes. If welding at 200 Amps with a 25% Duty Cycle, within a 10 Minute block of time you can weld for 2 Minutes, 30 Seconds with 7 Minutes, 30 seconds of cooling for the Welder.

If the Duty Cycle is exceeded, the Welder will automatically shut off, however the fan will continue running to cool the internal components. When a safe temperature has been reached, the Welder will automatically switch the Welder output back on. To increase the duty cycle you can turn down the Amperage Output control.

Always wear an approved welding helmet and welding gloves. Do not use around flammable materials. Do not open machine there are no user serviceable parts inside.

More than what I had expectedReview by KDeMauro
Very nice machine. Easy setup and use. The preloaded settings are surprisingly right on and provide a good starting point. Adjusting machine is easy. The machine works very well. I even pushed it a bit on some 3/8 aluminum plate. The digital TIG 200 handled it. (Posted on 23/01/2019)
Great welderReview by John L
I bought this welder with the idea that I wanted to learn how to TIG weld. I was previously able to weld with a MIG welder and a stick welder. This product with the support of the dealer makes for an easy to use and to learn welding machine. (Posted on 23/01/2019)
Awesome features at a great priceReview by dirtrider
Purchased this back in March to replace my miller econo tig. Used it everyday since and it hasn't missed a beat. Love having all the options. Nice foot pedal. Like the 17 flex head torch. Used this on some big aluminium jobs. Would love to be able to use the 200hz frequency above 100amps but it's not needed by any means. Thanks for another great product Eastwood.
