Heat shrink solder butt connectors are terminals that are used to mate, connect, or terminate a single wire. These terminals provide the ability to solder wire to the terminal, providing a better chance of reliable connectivity. Solder butt connectors can be used in automotive, industrial and other applications that use wire to transfer electrical current.
Solder Butt Connectors are adhesive lined with heat shrink sleeving.
Just insert stripped cables into the connectors and heat with a hot air gun. This melts the solder and also shrinks the heat shrink tubing sealing the connection.
This Blue one is Suitable for cables (sq) – 1.5mm – 2.5mm. Internal Diameter – 4.5mm
Also available:
– Red Heat Shrink Solder Butt Connectors – 0.5mm – 1.5mm. Internal Diameter – 2.7mm
– Yellow Heat Shrink Solder Butt Connectors – 3mm – 6mm. Internal Diameter – 6mm

Excellent termination and waterproofing properties I first used these heat shrink solder ring connectors when I worked in the Aerospace industry back in the 80's. They're brilliant. Not only can you see the solder flowing and the termination between wires forming, but the heat shrink ends seal around the cable sheath to form a really excellent waterproof seal.To get the best out of them, you really need to use a hot air gun with a curved nozzle attachment, but you can still get really good results using a standard hot air gun and wafting the nozzle over the heatshrink sleeve whilst rotating the wire to get an even heat all the way around it. Don't overheat it though. Its great that these are back on the open market.
